Tyldesley Creative Writers have produced their second anthology Reflections on The Great War. The material for the book was collated and designed by Irena Gillette. To launch the book, the group held an evening event at The Turnpike, Leigh Library, organised by Jane Huxley, when members read out some of their poems and stories that reflected on their thoughts about the First World War and its effect. The project was funded by Wigan Council and The Deal for Armed Forces WW1 Commemorative Fund. All proceeds from the sale of the books has gone to The Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.
